ᴱQ. ilsa n. “(mystic name of) silver” (Category: Silver)

⚠️ᴱQ. ilsa, n. “(mystic name of) silver” (Category: Silver)
Q. telpë “silver; [ᴱQ.] money”

A noun in the Qenya Lexicon of the 1910s that was the “mystic name of silver” (QL/42) as opposed to ordinary ᴱQ. telpe “silver” (QL/91) in much the same way ᴱQ. laure was the “magical name” of gold as opposed to ordinary ᴱQ. kulu (LT/100).

Conceptual Development: In later writings, Tolkien retained the distinction between Q. laurë for golden light or color vs. Q. malta for gold as a metal, but he made no such distinctions for silver.
