S. Angolodh m. “The Noldo”

S. Angolodh, m. “The Noldo”

A hypothetical Sindarization of the name Q. Ingoldo “The Noldo”, mother-name of Finarfin (PM/360). The second element is clearly S. Golodh “Noldo”. The first element probably has no particular meaning, but rather is an example of how primitive initial syllabic [ŋg] became [aŋg] in Sindarin (PE17/124), while it became [iŋg] in Quenya (PE19/77).
