Dan. medial [b] became [v]; [Vb] > [Vv]

Dan. medial [b] became [v]; [Vb] > [Vv]
In notes associated with the Comparative Tables, Tolkien stated that “voiced stops became spirantal medially” in Danian (PE19/24), but according to the Comparative Tables themselves, this change only applied to the voiced labial stop [b], which became [v] written as “f” (PE19/23). A medial primitive [g] and [d] was preserved in Danian according to the Comparative Tables themselves.
