Q. Nólimon [ñ-] m. “*Learned One”

Q. Nólimon [ñ-], m. “*Learned One”
A sobriquet of Tar-Vardamir, given because “his chief love was for ancient lore” (UT/218). This name seems to be a compound of nólë “lore, knowledge” and the agental suffix -mo, so perhaps it means something like “*Learned One”. This name resembles an earlier name ᴱQ. Nóleme, a sobriquet of ᴱQ. Finwe (LT1/115), probably of similar meaning.
