N. Ramas Coren loc.
Earlier name of S. Rammas Echor in Lord of the Rings drafts from the 1940s (WR/288), also appearing as Corramas (WE/340). It seems to be a combination of ram(m)as “*great wall” and cognates of corn “round”, as suggested by Roman Rausch (EE/3.28, 3.29).
