S. Mildor loc. “Wine-land”
A rejected alternate name of Dorwinion appearing in notes to a draft map for Pauline Baynes from around 1970, glossed “wine-land”. The second element is clearly S. dôr, meaning the first element mil- is probably “wine”. This is rather unusual, in that wine words normally begin with miru- (S. miruvor, Q. miruvórë, Val. mirub, ᴱQ. miru, G. miros), but the “L” is capitalized and quite clear.
