Classical Adûnaic had no restrictions on what consonants could appear initially, except for [ŋ] which could only appear medially before [g] (SD/433 note #5). Initial consonant clusters were not allowed, however (SD/417). This restriction was inherited from Primitive Adûnaic initial-consonants.
