Q. Hyarmendacil m. “South-victor, South-slayer”
A name assumed by the 15th and 24th kings of Gondor to celebrate their victories in the South (LotR/1038, 1045). This name is a combination of hyarmen “south” and the suffix -(n)dacil “-victor, -slayer”, also seen in Rómendacil and Umbardacil.
