[ᴱ]ᴺ√TIKW root. “*melt, thaw”
Derivatives
ᴱ√TIQI root. “*melt, thaw”
An unglossed root ᴱ√TIQI appeared in the Qenya Lexicon of the 1910s with derivatives like ᴱQ. tiqi- “melt” and ᴱQ. tiqilin “a thaw, melting snow, slush” (QL/92). This verb for “melt” reappeared in the Early Qenya Grammar of the 1920s (PE14/58). I think it worth positing a Neo-Root √TIKW to salvage some of these early words.
