A neologism for “attempt, try” coined by Luinyelle posted on 2026-04-26 in the Vinyë Lambengolmor Discord Server (VLDS), a noun form of ric- “try”. After some further discussion, she changed this to riquië < *rik-mie to give more of a sense of “a single try”, but this revised form makes use a sound change where km > kw that Tolkien introduced around 1959. I avoid this sound change in my own Neo-Quenya practice because I feel it invalidates too many earlier words. As such, I prefer her first offering rície, but if you subscribe to the post-1959 sound change then riquië is perfectly fine.
