G. ind n. “house, abode” (Category: House)
A noun appearing as ind, inn “house, abode” in the Gnomish Lexicon of the 1910s (GL/51), clearly the cognate of ᴱQ. indo “house” and thus derived from the early root ᴱ√IŘI [IÐI] “dwell” as suggested by Christopher Tolkien (QL/43; LT2A/Idril). It had a more elaborate form G. indos or innos “house, hall” for a larger dwelling (GL/51).
