ᴺQ. !penië n. “lack, want, shortage, ⚠️poverty” (Category: Poor)

ᴺQ. !penië, n. “lack, want, shortage, ⚠️poverty” [created by Helge Fauskanger, NQNT] (Category: Poor)

A neologism for “lack” or “poverty” coined by Helge Fauskanger for his Neo-Quenya New Testament (NQNT), where the sense “poverty” was based on his use of penya “lacking, inadequate” to also mean “*poor”. I would use penië only for “lack, want, shortage” as a replacement ᴱQ. mange. For “poverty” I would use ᴺQ. penyalë.
