A word for “abundant, teeming, swarming” from around 1968 based on the root √UM “abound” (VT48/32). Another note from the late 1960s has úmea “large, of throng” and úmea “teeming, thronging” based on √UM “teem, throng”, but this note was marked through (PE17/115).
Conceptual Development: The Qenya Lexicon of the 1910s had ᴱQ. ūmea “large” (QL/97). The Etymologies of the 1930s had ᴹQ. úvea “abundant, in very great number, very large” under the root ᴹ√UB “abound” (Ety/UB).
